Dick McCartney is President of DM Consulting, a world-renowned expert on display electronics, and a Fellow of the Society for Information Display. From February 2012 to December 2014 he was Director of Technology Creation and Sensing at Samsung. He is an Adjunct Professor of Display Electronics at both Kyung Hee University (Korea) and National Chiao Tung University (Taiwan).

Alaide Pellegrini Mammana coordinates the Brazilian Network on Information Displays (BrDisplay), which has hundreds of participating institutions and companies. She is President of the Brazilian Academy of Military Engineering (ABEMI), an Invited Professor at the Universidade Estadual Paulista, and Counselor and Researcher for the Brazilian Association for Informatics (ABINFO), which she helped create in 1988.
Alaide is Director of the Latin American Chapter of the Society for Information Display (SID) and Professor Emeritus at the Electrical Engineering School at the University of Campinas (UNICAMP). From 1985 to 2007 she was the Head of the Information Display R&D Program at the Centro de Tecnologia da Informação Renato Archer (CTI) in Campinas. She managed the press office and press support activities for the Society for Information Display’s Display Week, an annual international exhibition and technical symposium, from 1995 to 2005. During that time, media attendance grew by a factor of five. During this time she also served as administrative editor of Information Display Magazine, the world’s leading display technology magazine.
From 2005 to 2012, she managed multiple technical conferences and events each year for Insight Media, including overall event management, management of presenters and scheduling, acquisition of paid sponsors and exhibitors, management of catering and logistics, and conference registration. She also managed sales force support, including the creation of sales and marketing materials.
Tom Holzel, Associate, is a marketing and sales specialist for flat panel displays. He ran the Raytheon display sales force nationally, and its sales rep force internationally. While Managing Director of a British venture-funded start-up, he made board-level presentation to many Japanese display manufacturers, including Panasonic, Sony, Mitsubishi and Futaba. He has been CEO of two display start-ups, (one of which became the exclusive supplier to IBM’s NMD division), and VP of Marketing & Sales for French, English and several U.S. display start-ups.
